Kate would like to highlight the following organizations for which she is involved with and actively supports.
ACTIVE MINDS
Active Minds has since become the largest nonprofit in the United States mobilizing youth and young adults to transform mental health norms across society. Now in more than 1,000 campuses and communities, directly reaching more than 1.9 million people each year through awareness campaigns, events, advocacy, outreach, and more.
MAESTRA
Maestra is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides support, visibility, and community to the women and nonbinary professionals who make music in the musical theater industry.
Our initiatives aim to promote equality of opportunity and to address the historical disadvantages and practices that have limited women and nonbinary composers and musicians in the musical theatre.
WISCONSIN CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC
Kate is a board member of this organization supporting the place she took music lessons as a child and supporting their ongoing commitment to music education. Celebrating over a century of musical excellence, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music is committed to inspiring students of every age and skill level by providing an accessible, exceptional music education.
The Conservatory is descended from several Wisconsin music institutions and today is the largest independent non-profit music school in the state. Over 100 highly trained teaching artists provide expert individual, group, and ensemble instruction to more than 16,000 students each year.
